What is the Principle of Carboxytherapy Treatment?

Carboxytherapy works by infusing carbon dioxide into the skin, creating an acidic environment. This causes oxygen gas to bind to the skin tissues in the treated area and accumulate natural growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factors). Within several days of treatment, there’s an increased natural distribution of oxygen in the treated area, leading to the creation of a new microcirculation. This enhances lymphatic drainage and promotes skin regeneration.

What Does a Carboxy Facial Treatment Look Like?

A typical Carboxy facial treatment at Melocare lasts between 40 and 60 minutes. During the treatment:

  1. A gel is applied to the face in an even layer.
  2. A Carboxy-therapy Activator Face Mask is pressed firmly onto the gel.
  3. The interface produces a specific amount of carbon dioxide, which is infused into the skin.

During the treatment, you may feel heat, a slight tingling, and the skin may become mildly red due to a sudden deposit of oxygen. Within 5 minutes of the treatment, the carbon dioxide applied to the skin is completely replaced by oxygen. How Many Carboxytherapy Treatments are Required?
